This 4-day wedding weekend commenced with a welcome party at a family's private residence in Saugatuck, Michigan, right off the Lake Michigan coast. It was a glorious location to host their closest family and friends before Alix and Perry wed.

To start off a spectacular weekend, Alix and Perry, alongside Modern Day Collective, curated an elevated approach to a true Lake Michigan themed event with details and flown-in design elements to swoon over.

“Alyssa truly went the extra mile to make our wedding so special! Her creativity, solutions-based attitude, attention to detail, and promptness made working with her a joy. She also fully understand my aesthetic and vision which gave me even more confidence. All of the custom elements felt high-touch, cohesive, and unique, which truly added to the overall experience. Alyssa handled everything from custom bar signage, menus, ceremony programs, matchbooks, stir sticks, and more. We even tasked her with creating a custom backlit marquee sign for our after party entrance. If you're looking for elevated stationery, you'll be in great hands with Alyssa. I can't wait to work with her again for future events!”

The fashion was impeccable. The bride, the groom, the parents, and the guests were all dressed to the nines. Our bride wore two outfits on the eve of the wedding; with this exquisite Oscar de la Renta gown being the first one of the evening... a show-stopper.

These whitewashed rattan chargers, hand-painted blue Portuguese plates, bamboo flatware, and rattan tumblers, paired with the Indigo Batik linen and dove grey crinkle napkins were a statement!!! The vision for this event was fun, whimsical and cozy: We designed cohesive pieces starting with this menu, complimentary colors, hand-drawn watercolor elements and I wavy font to suit the feel.

As an extension of my ceramic table numbers, we found this on-brand piece that fit perfectly with the color scheme and textiles of the event. To match the shape of the menu, we used frosted acrylie in a circle for-cut and printed the bride and groom's signature drinks with white ink. Together; we came up with the most perfect cocktail names. My personal favorite, "Alix's Tequila Sunset”.

We used custom wood engraved bar signs that brought in the cozy; but elevated feel as guests ordered their drinks at the bar! Personally, I loved how the spirits were so intentionally picked by the bride and groom. The entire event was infused with so much of their story and a total treat for their guests too.
